THE METROPOLITAN.–The manager of the Metropolitan Theatre is both shrewd and sagacious, in having secured two of the hightest stars in the galaxy of California artistes–Mrs. Julia Deane Hayne, and Mr. Charles Dillon. This evening these tragedial celebrities will appear in the famous play of “Macbeth.” The house of course will be crowded.
ACADEMY OF MUSIC.–This temple of Momus is thronged nightly. The performances are not only entertaining, but, morally speaking, unexceptionable.
ELECTRO-BIOLOGY–Professor Bushell “draws” well at Platt’s Music Hall, by his electro biological lectures1. The practical demonstration of the science provoke great amusement.
1Basically a kind of mesmerism.
